What Are the Most Fuel-Efficient CDJR Models?
Fuel-Efficient Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM Models
The Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM lineup used to be known for V8 engines that gulped fuel. Now, the lineup is loaded with vehicles that sip fuel and help drivers save money. From the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid to the RAM 1500 EcoDiesel, drivers looking for a fuel-efficient MOPAR® vehicle have a variety of innovative, spacious, and powerful options. In Central Florida, you can experience them all at Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Leesburg near Leesburg and The Villages.
Save Money with a Hybrid Chrysler or Dodge
Chrysler and Dodge make the two most fuel-efficient models in the CDJR lineup. The most fuel-efficient vehicle is a spacious minivan, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. This plug-in hybrid minivan gets an EPA-estimated combined fuel rating of 82 MPGe. Thanks to the 3.6-liter V6 and two electric motors, the plug-in hybrid model also delivers a satisfying 260 horsepower and 32 miles of all-electric range.
The Dodge Hornet is another plug-in hybrid, this time with a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder and one electric motor. The configuration delivers 288 horsepower, about 30 miles of all-electric range, and an EPA-estimated combined 77 MPGe.
The Fuel-Efficient Jeep Lineup
Jeep has three models that help drivers save money on fuel costs. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe use the plug-in hybrid powertrain for fuel ratings that outperform the same models with standard internal combustion engines. The Wrangler 4xe gets an EPA-estimated combined 49 MPGe with about 21 miles of all-electric range, while the Grand Cherokee 4xe gets an EPA-estimated combined 56 MPGe and about 25 miles of all-electric range.
Drivers who prefer a standard internal combustion engine will appreciate the fuel efficiency of the Jeep Compass. The versatile compact SUV has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower and an EPA-estimated combined fuel rating of 27 MPG.
RAM Trucks with Hybrid Powertrains
It may come as a surprise, but the RAM 1500 truck lineup includes full-size trucks with impressive fuel ratings. The RAM 1500 Tradesman HFE has the best fuel rating when outfitted with a 3.6-liter V6 with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and gets an impressive EPA-estimated 20 MPG in the city, 26 MPG on the highway, and a combined 23 MPG.
RAM is expected to deliver the RAM 1500 REV all-electric truck in 2026. While the fuel ratings have yet to be released, this all-electric truck is expected to outperform all models with gas-powered engines.
